WHY SUPPORT CAPITAL SOUND?
Members say it themselves: Drum corps shapes them for a lifetime of success.
From Michael Huck, 18, UW-Oshkosh, Capital Sound snare drummer, '05-'06:"Getting pushed mentally and physically in 90 degree weather is not my idea of fun, but for some reason I keep coming back for more. My reward comes at the end of the season when I finish performing the final show. A feeling of success, unity, and joy overwhelm me as I step off the field with more than thirty of my closest friends."
From Austin Melcher, 19, UW-Eau Claire, Capital Sound bass drummer: "I do drum corps because of that special feeling you get coming off the field after a good show. The crowd cheering, my senses on overload, and above all, my heart pounding in beat with the cadence. Drum corps has changed my life.
