"Mongo" Mike Lukas

Mike's marching and teaching experience spans more than three decades. He was a member of the Mt. Upton, New York High School Marching Band and Indoor Colorguard from 1975 till 1980. His early drum corps life was spent with the Avant Garde Drum and Bugle Corps from Saratoga Springs, New York. He spent his last few seasons with the Crossmen, where he aged out in 1984.

Mike has taught several indoor and outdoor high school programs throughout the Northeast and Southeast. He currently serves as a judge for both indoor guard and percussion in the Southeast, is a movement judge for the FMBC.

Most recently, Mike spent 4 seasons with Teal Sound, where he was a Visual Caption Head and a Visual Designer.
